Exceptional care given by exceptional people.
Great nurse Liason service showed how a service should be.
Would have preferred to see them on 1st visit to ward but we weren't there then. But they did a great job.
Referral passed on from A and E, well done - smooth transition.
This is important - that teams pass patient along well.
Very very thankful for the professional, kindness.

My husband passed away two days after palliative care started, but the short time that I had dealing with the team I was more than happy by the way my husband was treated.

The team at the Royal Gwent were all very friendly, approachable and professional.
They listened to our concerns and dealt with everything as quickly as possible.
Penny was fantastic to deal with and my mother felt that possible was done to keep my father as comfortable as possible.

I feel that the ward staff could have informed the palliative care team a little earlier as when they did start their visit things improved a lot, my husband had his pain relief as quickly as possible, not the nurses fault just having to check it, they are so busy and run off their legs its bad to see.
